Scholarship Applications from the Medina County Retired Teachers are available and must be mailed in by May 1st of each year.


Requirements:
     *Graduate of any Medina County high
             school
      *Majoring in Education
      *Will be a junior or senior in college

       were honored at the
         August 14th meeting. ***

The Medina County Retired Teachers Association awarded three deserving students from the Medina area with scholarships.
The 2012 recipients were:

    Rebecca Galvin, a graduate of Wadsworth High School, a junior at Kent State University, majoring in early childhoold education with a dream to own her own day care some day.

    Brittany West, a graduate of Buckeye High School, a senior attending Baldwin Wallace, majoring in early childhood education.

    Katelyn Merkle, 2009 graduate of Medina High School, a senior at University of Akron, majoring in early childhood education and intervention.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to the 2012 winners!

     2012 was the 23rd year that MCRTA Scholarship Committee has awarded scholarships to college juniors and seniors who have committed themselves to careers in education. The scholarship committee, began in 1989, has awarded 107 scholarships to date. All funds for the scholarship have come from member donations. This year's winners were awarded $1000 each.

Thank you to the 2012 Scholarship Committee headed by Evie Kidder. They were Bob Dague, Mike Davanzo, Leonard Machles, and Nancy McNeal.
