First trip for 2013!!
A Day in Toledo
Date: Wednesday, June 5, 2013
Time: 8:15 am- 7:30 pm
Cost: $46.00/person (includes lunch)
Meet:
Buehlers, River Styx
On our way to Toledo,
we will make a stop at Lakeside, where we will enjoy coffee and a muffin in the Fern Room
at the historic Hotel Lakeside. You will have some time to stroll the lakeshore and streets of this
Chautaqua-like community.
Our first stop in Toledo will be
Tony Packo's Restaurant, made famous by the "Mash" TV show. Lunch will be included, and
you will have four choices.
Next, we will visit the "Glass Museum",
which is part of the Toledo Art Museum. This will be a guided and narrated tour.
Finally,
we will explore the Wildwood Preserve, which is part of Toledo's Metroparks. Here we will visit
the Manor House and its beautiful gardens. We will make a turnpike stop on the way home.

A GOURMET DAY

Cost: $49/person (all inclusive)
Meet: Buehler's River Styx
Join us for a fun day full of eating with interesting stops
along the way. All the food is included in the price.
We'll start by meeting at Buehler's
Main Street Grill (River Styx) to enjoy a breakfast of pancakes & coffee - a delightful way to start your
day, eating and chatting with friends!
Our coach will be waiting to take us to the Crawford
Auto Museum, a part of the Western Reserve Historical Society at University Circle. We'll get to
see their collection of cars and trucks that make up Cleveland's automobile history.
Hope the Indians are
still winning in August as we enjoy a winning buffet lunch at the Terrace Club Restaurant
at Progressive Field.
Next, we'll go down the street to the Old Stone Church
for a visit along with a presentation on the history of the church and history of Cleveland. Their organist will present
a short concert and you can expect to sing a couple of favorite hymns.
Finally, we will travel west to Lakewood
and stop at the original Malley's Chocolate Shop on Madison Avenue. We will
all enjoy the specialty of the house - a Hot Fudge Sundae! You will have time to shop before we leave for home.

Medina Community Service Center: Please
bring taxable items to our MCRTA meetings to help support our Medina Community Service Center and help Medina Country
residents who are less fortunate than we are (no food items please). Items espcially needed are: toilet paper,
soaps, toothpaste, diapers, cleaning supplies. Monetary contributions are always welcomed. They purchase
food at the Akron Food Pantry, where your every $1.00 donation has 10 times the purchasing
power. Contact Julie Been for more information.
Scholarship
Contributions:
Scholarship 'cups' will
continue to be available at our MCRTA meetings. This has been a wonderful way to add to our scholarship funds. Contributions
can be made at any time. All funds raised now will benefit our 2013 winners. Your generosity is so appreciated.
This year we would like to honor generous donors at the Scholarship luncheon in August.

The search is under way each year for scholarship winners.
Any Medina County School graduate is eligible. College students must be juniors or senior next fall and be
